Sanoma supports carefully selected partners to promote, for example, literacy, media literacy and equal access to education. Through the cooperation we strengthen our impact and support local communities. The partners can be international, national or local organisations or projects that represent values that are important to Sanoma. Partnerships are always selected on a case-by-case basis. Sanoma cooperates with, among others:

Sanoma’s funds for donations are presented annually to the Annual General Meeting, which authorises Sanoma's Board of Directors to decide on the use of the funds for donations. In 2022-2025, no proposal was made to the Annual General Meeting on funds to be used for donations. Sanoma does not make donations to political or religious movements or actors, nor for unethical or illegal purposes. We comply with applicable laws and regulations when making donations and ensure that they are free from misuse or corruption. Our donations are guided by the Donations and Sponsorships Policy. Sanoma has supported the following parties with donations in 2020-2023:

- Donation to European Publishers Council, 15,000 euros and supporting and developing the field of research and practices concerning media education, contributing to the public debate and providing opportunities to share media education experiences, 30,000 euros
- Donation to the International Press Institute, 15,000 euros
- Donation to the John Nurminen Foundation to support protection of the Baltic Sea and its heritage for future generations, 155,000 euros
- Donation to Helsinki Deaconess Foundation, Vamos-project, 30,000 euros
- Donation to support fund for artists through The Finnish Music Foundation / Musiikinedistämissäätiö (e.g. performing artists, song writers, composers), 342,500 euros
- Donations to Climate Leadership Coalition and Nature and Game management Trust Finland, 20,000 euros
- Donation to World Press Photo exhibition in Helsinki, 15,000 euros
- Donation to Helsinki Deaconess Foundation, Vamosproject, 30,000 euros
