Sanoma’s purpose is to have a positive impact on the lives of millions of people every day through learning and media.

We are one of the global leaders in K12 education and Finland’s #1 digital cross-media company. Our ambition is that Sanoma’s net sales grows to over EUR 2 billion by 2030 with at least 75% coming from the learning business.

Our Annual Report 2024 consists of three sections: Sanoma’s business in brief, Financials and sustainability (including the Report of the Board of Directors, the Sustainability Statement, and the Financial Statements), and Governance (including the Corporate Governance Statement and the Remuneration Report).

Letter from the CEO

In 2025, we continued to make good progress in our strategic focus areas of increasing the profitability of Learning and Media Finland and deleveraging the Group’s balance sheet. We also continued to build on the long-term strengths of both businesses. Additionally, we set updated financial targets, which reflect our accelerated net sales growth path in 2026–2030.

Sustainability highlights

We reached significant emission reductions in both own operations and value chain. By the end of 2024, our own operations’ emissions have declined by 44% and value chain emissions by 38% compared to the base year 2021.

We continued the development of Diversity, Equality & Inclusion (DE&I). To ensure that our 5,200+ employees around Europe feel that we provide equal opportunities, we track the Equal opportunities rating in our annual Employee Engagement Survey. In 2024, the rating remained strong at 8.0 (scale 0-10).

We released our new Sustainability Statement, aligned with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive and the European Sustainability Reporting Standards. In addition, to support investors, Sanoma published a separate Sustainability Accounting Standard Board (SASB) content index.
