Sanoma Corporation, Press Release, 12 December 2014 at 15:30 CET+1

SBS Broadcasting and Sanoma have acquired the Dutch broadcast rights for the UEFA Champions League in 2015–2018. Each season 35 matches will be broadcast on one of the SBS TV channels from August 2015 onwards. The matches will also be shown online on Sanoma's Dutch news portal NU.nl.

In selecting Sanoma and SBS Broadcasting the UEFA has recognised the ambition of the leading Dutch media group to offer unparalleled multimedia channel coverage of the Champions League football matches.

Starting August 2015 the matches, including all summaries on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, will be broadcast on one of the TV channels of SBS Broadcasting. Each season will start with the UEFA Super Cup, the duel between the winners of the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League of the past season. The various online platforms of Sanoma, like NU.nl and NUsport.nl, will feature highlights, clips, goals rankings and statistics in a separate section.
