Sanoma announced on 31 October 2013 that he will succeed Jacques Eijkens, Sanoma Learning’s current CEO, in the first quarter of 2014. Eijkens will remain with Sanoma Learning to support John Martin in the implementation of the transformation strategy at the company.Martin, who worked for Sanoma Learning until 2011 and has been responsible for launching Sanoma Digital as interim CEO in the last months, comments: “I am looking forward to reconnecting with my colleagues and further developing the business at Learning. After setting up Sanoma Digital our pure play digital organization is now ready for the next phase with a new CEO.”The process for recruiting a new CEO for Sanoma Digital is proceeding well. In the meantime Sanoma Digital will be led by Sander ten Dam on ad interim basis, until a permanent appointment is made. Ten Dam is currently COO Sanoma Digital – Netherlands, and responsible for Sanoma’s lead generation business including brands like Kieskeurig.nl.
