Printing house WS Bookwell has developed a tool for measuring a book's carbon footprint. The Ecocalculator provides information on how different printing methods and materials affect the amount of carbon dioxide and other emissions of a book.
The Ecocalculator is a web based tool that uses information collected at WS Bookwell's printing plants. The calculation covers a book's life cycle from the harvesting of forest to customer's warehouse.
