Päivi Hokkanen, 49, has been appointed Chief Information Officer (CIO) at the Sanoma Corporate Centre. As CIO, Päivi Hokkanen will lead, in co-operation with the operational divisions, the building of the Group-wide ICT infrastructure and solution portfolio. She will also be managing Group-wide common solutions, ICT agreements. In addition, she is responsible for Corporate Competence Centers (SAP). Hokkanen will start in her new position during spring 2009, on a date to be later specified.

Currently, Päivi Hokkanen, M. Sc. (Econ), MBA, works for Stockmann plc as Director, Information Technology. Prior to her career in Stockmann she has been working in SysOpen (currently Digia) and Capgemini, among others.

The Sanoma Group's present Chief Information Officer Sulo Nuutinen will retire at the beginning of 2009. However, Nuutinen will assist in the Group-wide ICT projects during spring 2009 when needed.
