NTK-Perfekt Education and Publishing Rt, part of the Sanoma Group, has won a tender for the 25% of shares of the Hungarian Nemzeti Tankonyvkiado. The seller is the Hungarian state privatisation office, APV Rt. Nemzeti Tankonyvkiado is the leading educational publisher in Hungary. Before this deal, NTK-Perfekt Education and Publishing owned about 71% of Nemzeti Tankonyvkiado. The final purchase agreement is estimated to be signed shortly.
Sanoma acquired a majority in the Hungarian educational group Láng (current NTK-Perfekt Education and Publishing) in 2006.
Educational publishing is one of the international growth areas of the Sanoma Group, in addition to magazines, digital media and press distribution/kiosks.
NTK-Perfekt Education and Publishing Rt is part of the Sanoma Learning & Literature division.
