SanomaWSOY Sold its Holding in Aina Group

SanomaWSOY Group has sold its entire shareholding, some 15% of the shares, in Aina Group Oyj to Mutual Insurance Company Pension-Fennia. The capital gain from the divestment is some EUR 1.7 million.

Aina Group shares in SanomaWSOY were held by Sanoma Lehtimedia, part of Sanoma Division, which held the main part of shares, and Rautakirja and its subsidiaries. The divestment is in line with SanomaWSOY's strategy to divest its non-core assets and holdings.

Aina Group, based in Southern Finland, consists of Hämeen Sanomat, a newspaper publisher, and Hämeen Puhelin, a telephone operator, among others. The Group operates in media and ICT.
