Sanoma Magazines International (SMI) has announced that it has agreed to acquire 70% share in the Czech publishing company Peloton spol. s.r.o. as of September 1, 2005.
Peloton's monthly magazine Dům a Zahrada (Home and Garden) is one of the top Home and Deco magazines in the Czech Republic. Peloton employs some 14 people.
Sanoma Magazines International's Czech subsidiary Sanoma Magazines Praha is the leading magazine publisher in the Czech Republic with some 20 consumer magazines.
As from September 2005, Sanoma Magazines Praha's monthly Home and Deco magazine Living will be published by Peloton. Through combining the existing Home and Deco titles Sanoma Magazines Praha aims to build a leading position in this publishing segment in the Czech Republic.
Sanoma Magazines Praha belongs to Sanoma Magazines International, which is part of Sanoma Magazines, the magazine division of SanomaWSOY.
