The customer service department of Sanoma Uitgevers has received the ITO 2005 certificate. This means that customer service has a good accessibility and is customer friendly. Sanoma Uitgevers is the 7th company and the first media company in the Netherlands to receive this certificate.

The ITO Foundation, who awarded this certificate, is dedicated to improve the quality of call centres. The evaluation has been based on more then 800,000 telephone conversations, which have been dealt with in the call centre. The status of the ITO hallmark is high, certification is recommended by a lot of authorities in companies and other organizations, as Consumer Federation, the Ministry of Economic Affairs, VNO-NCW, the Call Centre Managers Association and the Telecom & Internet users Foundation.
