Independent Media publishing house and The International Herald Tribune (IHT), a leading international newspaper, have announced the launch of their new joint project. Starting in the spring of 2005, IHT will be printed daily in Moscow and distributed together with The Moscow Times.
The signed agreement is the 30th deal in IHT's portfolio of contracts with leading publishing houses to publish English language versions of national newspapers to be exclusively distributed with IHT. The International Herald Tribune collaborates e.g. with Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung Group in Germany, Kathimerini in Greece, Haaretz in Israel, El Pais in Spain, JoongAng Ilbo in South Korea, Asahi Shimbun in Japan.
IHT is going to be the first international daily to be published in Russia.
