Hellevi Kekäläinen, B.Sc (Econ.) has been appointed as the new Senior Vice President, Corporate Finance and Administration for the Rautakirja Group. Ms. Kekäläinen will also become a member of the Rautakirja Executive Board. She will take up her duties during March 2004, on the departure of the current CFO Matti Salmi, who will in turn be taking the position of Senior Vice President, Finance and Administration (CFO) of the Rautakirja parent company, SanomaWSOY.
Hellevi Kekäläinen joined the Rautakirja Group in 1996 as the financial manager of the subsidiary Finnkino Oy. From the beginning of 2001 she was appointed as Finnkino's Administrative Director, with responsibility for Finnkino finance, personnel management, logistics, and sales services, and controller functions for the subsidiaries and affiliates operating in the Baltic States. She has also played an active role in Finnkino's corporate acquisition strategy and in the start-up of new enterprises.
Prior to her employment with Finnkino, Hellevi Kekäläinen has worked in the security and electrotechnical sectors, mainly in financial management positions.
