SanomaWSOY has sold its 29.47% holding (2 624 276 shares) in the Norwegian media company, A-pressen ASA for NOK 155 per share. The expected closing date for the deal will be 30 June 2003. The divestment is in line with SanomaWSOY's strategy to divest its non-core assets.
A-pressen is one of Norway's leading media companies and owns a large number of local and regional newspapers, as well as a holding in Norway's TV2. A-pressen is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
