One of the leading automobile publications in Europe, the highly regarded Auto Bild magazine starts appearing in a Finnish language edition. The magazine will be published by Sanoma Magazines Finland.

Auto Bild Suomi (Auto Bild Finland) will appear bi-weekly on Fridays, more often than any other automobile magazine in Finland. The first issue will be available from 12 March 2004. The key target group of the magazine in Finland are men aged 18-49.

Auto Bild Suomi is based on the successful international magazine concept of the German publisher, Axel Springer AG. It will, however, be a truly Finnish automobile magazine.

- Auto Bild Suomi is produced and edited in Finland by a team of Finnish professionals. All information is updated and adapted to the Finnish market and local conditions. Since there are no major differences in the equipment level between the two countries, the test drives performed by Germans are valid also in Finland, Jarmo Markkanen, Editor-in-Chief of GTi-Magazine and V8-Magazine says. He has been heading the Finnish Auto Bild project

Founded in 1986, Auto Bild is the biggest and most reputable automobile magazine in Europe. In addition to Germany, it is published in 15 other European countries. The German edition of Auto Bild exceeds 700,000 copies and the magazine has over 2.8 million readers. Other important Auto Bild markets include France (circulation about 350,000), Poland, Italy and the Netherlands, all with a circulation in excess of 100,000 copies. In the Netherlands, the magazine is published by Sanoma Uitgevers, which belongs to the Sanoma Magazines division. Further Auto Bild has launched this spring its first Asian edition in Indonesia.

In addition to Auto Bild Suomi, Sanoma Magazines Finland publishes two other automobile magazines. The V8-Magazine, specialized in American cars and the tuning publication GTi-Magazine reach their special target groups.

Sanoma Magazines Finland is part of SanomaWSOY's magazine publishing division Sanoma Magazines B.V.
