IT publisher Docendo, part of SanomaWSOY's publishing sector, WSOY, has won a major order for its Simultan Open interactive e-training software. Nordea has decided to licence Simultan Open for its 18,000 retail banking personnel employed by Merita Bank and Nordbank in Finland and Sweden. Nordea plans to start Simultan Open-based training via Merita's and Nordbank's intranets during January and February this year.
Docendo Finland's Managing Director, Mika Sahlman, describes Nordea's decision to opt for Simultan Open as a major development in interactive e-training, as it is the first order of this size to be placed in the Nordic region.
Simultan Open is a browser-based, interactive training solution that can be used by companies, educational institutions, and other bodies to train their personnel to make better and more effective use of their key software, such as word processing and spreadsheet programs. Simultan can be used over intranets, the Internet, local area networks, or via CD-ROM.
