Santillana, Spain’s leading educational publisher, is working to help parents support their children’s learning at home by introducing innovative solutions. As digital education evolves, collaboration is needed to connect traditional learning with cognitive science. To address this, MindED was created through a partnership between Santillana and CogniFit, a global expert in cognitive training.

Launched in 2025, MindED is a dual-app system designed to help families and schools support children’s academic and cognitive growth. It combines Santillana’s educational content with cognitive development, AI, and gamification, specifically for the Spanish market.

CogniFit, known for its brain-training solutions, works with large companies and researchers to assess and improve cognitive health. Their expertise complements Santillana’s experience in academic content by offering tools to enhance skills like memory, attention, and perception. Together, they provide a well-rounded approach that blends curriculum-based content, neuroscience-based games, and AI-driven personalisation.

MindED includes two connected apps: MindED is a gamified platform for children aged 6–14, making learning interactive and enjoyable. It follows the Spanish LOMLOE curriculum, offering activities in maths, Spanish and English, while building cognitive skills. The app uses gamification and rewards to keep students motivated. MindED Éxito Académico is a companion app for parents, providing tools to monitor study time and academic results, track cognitive development, schedule exams, set personalized goals, and receive AI-generated activity suggestions based on their child’s progress. MindED’s AI adapts activity content and makes recommendations based on performance. To ensure human oversight of MindED's AI content, Cognifit checks activity logic while Santillana reviews content coherence and alignment with difficulty levels.

This dual-app approach encourages collaboration between children and caregivers, boosting motivation and supporting learning at home. MindED’s mission supports Sustainable Development Goal 4, aiming for inclusive and quality education. By including cognitive stimulation in daily learning, MindED helps children build a solid foundation for lifelong learning and provides tailored support for those with learning difficulties.
