The Supervisory Board of SBS Broadcasting B.V. announces today that Georgette Schlick steps down as Chief Executive Officer of SBS Broadcasting per 7 March 2013. The Supervisory Board intends to appoint Hans Edin, the President of Nelonen Media, Sanoma’s Finnish TV and radio operations, as the acting CEO for the interim period.

The decision on Georgette Schlick leaving the company has been taken in good mutual understanding and is fully supported by both shareholders, Sanoma and Talpa. The Supervisory Board thanks Georgette Schlick for her contributions to the company.

The search for a new CEO will commence shortly.

The Supervisory Board intends to appoint Hans Edin as the acting CEO of SBS Broadcasting for the interim period. Hans Edin is currently President of Nelonen Media, Sanoma’s Finnish TV and Radio operations. Nelonen Media is a diverse and strongly developing broadcasting group reaching more than 90% of the Finns.

SBS Broadcasting B.V. (SBS) is a media company with TV-stations Net5, SBS6 and Veronica, covering a market share of approximately 20% in the Netherlands. Veronica Uitgeverij is also part of SBS, being the publisher of Veronica Magazine and Totaal TV. SBS operates its own production company, SBS Productions B.V. SBS is owned by Sanoma Corporation (67%) and Talpa (33%).
