The Dutch magazine Flow is coming out in English. The editors have decided to publish an international edition of Flow because they receive so many appreciative emails from fans from all over the world. Flow in English is available in twenty countries as from November 2012.In the Netherlands, Flow is a great success. Since its launch in 2008, the magazine and the Flow brand have settled firmly and successfully in the Dutch and Belgian markets. Flow’s print run is still rising and the number of Flow-related products is increasing rapidly. Despite falling circulation figures in the magazine publishing, Flow’s circulation has grown to more than 70,000 copies sold per issue.Now the Dutch edition of Flow appears eight times a year, plus three special issues and several stationery products as well. For the second time running, this year the Flow team also handled the design of the December holidays stamps for PostNL.ZeitgeistMeanwhile, Flow has become known to a large group of fans worldwide. Up until now, these fans could not read Flow, but they were attracted by the layout, retro photos, special illustrations, different paper types and paper extras. Because the Flow concept reflects the current zeitgeist worldwide, and the editors have received so many keen emails from international fans, the team decided to publish Flow in English as well. Stories from the Dutch edition of Flow form the basis of the international edition, but original content is also produced especially for the international edition.The first international edition — 140 pages long — includes:• Interviews with and work by illustrators like Nathalie Lété, Keri Smith, Lisa Congdon en Fiona Richards.• Articles about Etsy and Dawanda, letterpress, art journaling and 365-day projects.Also available onlineThe international edition of Flow will be available in twenty countries, at airports, in museum shops, bookstores and other retail outlets around the world. It will be available online as well, through www.flowmagazine.com. Word of mouth and social media are the important marketing tools so Flow will be promoted by international ambassadors, bloggers and on online platforms.
