Sanoma is sponsoring Finland's Management Challenge, a competition, in which teams from elevens institutions of higher education participate in spring 2010.

The schools participating in the challenge are Haaga-Helia, HAMK, Laurea, LAMK, Metropolia, TAMK, TKK, TSR, TTY, TSE and UTA. In total, 88 teams have registered to the competition.

Finland's Management Challenge is a part of the world's largest leadership competition, Global Management Challenge. It unites students, who have the best managerial talent in the world. Annually approximately 20,000 students participate in the competition. The winner of the Finnish competition will participate in the world finals of the Global Management Challenge in Russia in May.

The competition is a simulation game in which the teams run a virtual company, with the objective of getting the highest company share price on the simulated stock exchange. For the students the competition offers an opportunity to show their managerial skills to the employers, and the employers will get a chance to share information about their companies to the students. The competition started on 18 January 2010 and it will culminate in Finland's grand finals on 24 March 2010.

Four universities compete under the flag of Sanoma: University of Tampere, Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, Tampere University of Technology and Lappeenranta University of Technology. Sanoma supports the competition in order to increase the level of knowledge of Sanoma among the students. Sanoma Budapest, a Sanoma Group company, supports the corresponding competition in Hungary.
