SanomaWSOY's electronic media division SWelcom sells its subsidiary SW Television Oy's share of 46.2% in Maxisat-Yhtiöt Oy to the major owner, Veijo Blom's family.

Maxisat Group provides digital TV and broadband solutions to companies, households and operators. The group has 60 employees and its net sales amounted to EUR 6.9 million.

- According to its strategy, SWelcom focuses on its core business, offering multimedia and digital services. The divestment follows that strategy, says Anu Nissinen, President of SWelcom.

- Maxisat and SWelcom have had a long and great co-operation, nearly 20 years. The operational environment keeps changing and I believe that this deal gives us good potential to further develop Maxisat, comments Veijo Blom, President of Maxisat.

The deal commences on 20 May 2008, and it will have no effect on SWelcom's result.

SWelcom is the electronic media division of the SanomaWSOY Group. SWelcom offers consumers electronic entertaining experiences on television, radio, online and mobile devices.
