No less than 80,135 Libelle readers visited the Libelle Zomerweek ('Summer week') last week in The Netherlands - over 5,000 visitors more than in the previous years!

The increasing popularity of this event is mainly due to the combination of the strong Libelle brand, the quality of the week-long event and its unique location. Libelle is the leading Dutch women's weekly. The event is organised at a special beach in Almere, centrally located in The Netherlands. Every year the Dutch railways NS construct a dedicated temporary railway station near the beach to accommodate visitors to the Zomerweek.

Every visitor experiences 'a Libelle day trip'. The magazine presents itself in three dimensions at the central square of the Zomerweek after entry. Libelle literally allows visitors a glimpse in the kitchen where the magazine is prepared to strengthen the relationship between readers and the magazine.

Around the central square and along the 1.5 kilometres long boulevard tens of advertisers and hundreds of exhibitors presented themselves. Amongst them were advertisers like Unilever, Nintendo, L'Oréal and Glaxo Smith Klein.
