Sanoma Kaupunkilehdet (Sanoma Free Sheets) has signed an agreement with Connex Finland Oy about the distribution of Uutislehti 100 in Connex buses as of 21 August. The company has about 300 buses in the Helsinki metropolitan area, and its market share of the bus traffic in the area amounts to some 25%. The agreement is for three years, and it increases the sheet's circulation by some 15,000. Previously, Connex buses distributed the Metro sheet.

Last week, Sanoma Kaupunkilehdet concluded an agreement about the distribution of Uutislehti 100 in Concordia buses from June onwards. Also, an agreement made with Helsinki City Transport will open trams for the distribution Uutislehti 100 in summer. At metro stations, the sheet will be available on stands.

Thanks to the agreement, Uutislehti 100 has a grip on all major distribution channels. These include buses, local trains, metro and trams.

"The agreement with Connex seals the market leadership of the sheet in public transport and gives excellent opportunities for business development", says Niko Ruokosuo, President of Sanoma Kaupunkilehdet.

Thanks to the new agreements, Uutislehti 100's circulation will be over 100,000 as of June and about 120,000 as of 21 August.

Sanoma Kaupunkilehdet Oy is part of the Sanoma division of SanomaWSOY Group.
