Tuotantotalo Werne Oy, a part of SanomaWSOY Group's electronic media division SWelcom, has today sold the entire share capital of its Finnish subsidiary Måndag Oy to a Danish-based Toft & Fischer A/S.

Måndag is the leading video duplicator and DVD mastering service provider in Finland. Måndag has also a considerable market share in the manufacturing of optic discs in Finland. Net sales of the company in 2003 were EUR 3.6 million and the number of personnel 26.

The divestment is in line with SanomaWSOY's strategy to divest its non-core assets and holdings.

- According to our strategy, SWelcom will focus its activities in commercial television as well as in providing cable TV and broadband services, says Mr. Pekka Jaakola, Senior Vice President of Technology of SWelcom Division.

The divestment has no effect on SWelcom Division's EBIT in 2004.

Toft & Fischer A/S is one of the leading VHS-duplicators and manufacturers of optic discs in Scandinavia. After the acquisition Toft & Fischer A/S is active in all the Nordic countries. Videone A/S, Tocano A/S and Novio A/S are part of the Toft & Fischer Group. Toft & Fischer A/S had net sales of DKK 200 million in 2003 and its personnel numbers 170.

SWelcom is SanomaWSOY's electronic media division. The division includes Finland's third most important advertising media, the Nelonen TV channel, the country's biggest cable TV company HTV (Helsinki Television), the digital service provider 2ndhead Oy and the AV-production company Tuotantotalo Werne Oy.
