The Board of Directors of SanomaWSOY Corporation has decided to cancel the non-distributed or returned 2001A and 2001 B warrants, a total of 1,262,300 warrants. These warrants have been given to Tiikerijakelu Oy, SanomaWSOY's fully owned subsidiary.
SanomaWSOY's Warrant scheme 2001 was introduced at the beginning of 2002. The warrants were distributed in three stages, at the turn of 2001/2002 (2001A warrant), 2002/2003 (2001B warrant), and 2003/2004 (2001C warrant). Each issues comprised of a maximum of 1,500,000 warrants. Each warrant entitles the holder to one SanomaWSOY Series B share. The amount of 2001A and 2001B warrants held by the management is at the moment some 1,737,700. In December 2003, a total of some 1,147,500 2001C warrants were distributed and the rest were given to SanomaWSOY's fully owned subsidiary, Lastannet Oy, to be used according to a future decision of the Board of Directors of SanomaWSOY Corporation.
SanomaWSOY announced the issue and the terms of Warrant Scheme 2001 on 31 January 2002.
