Our story started in 1889 with the establishment of the newspaper Päivälehti in Helsinki, Finland. In 1999, Sanoma acquired WSOY which was the start in educational publishing. Today, Sanoma is one of the global leaders in K12 education and the leading consumer media company in Finland. Sanoma Learning currently represents around 79% of the Group’s earnings.
