Magazines

Sanoma Magazines is one of the largest consumer magazine publishers in Europe.

The Division publishes over 300 magazines covering a wide cross-section of readers, from pre-school children to senior citizens.

Women's magazines

Sanoma Magazines publishes the best known local women's magazines in most of its operating countries. The Division also develops own magazine concepts that are transferred across countries. The best example is Story, which was launched in the Netherlands in 1974 and is now published in 9 additional countries.

Sanoma Magazines also publishes well-known international license titles, like Elle, Marie Claire and Cosmopolitan with nine local editions. Cosmopolitan Russia has a circulation of approximately one million copies, making it the biggest edition outside of the United States.

Men's magazines

Panorama in the Netherlands, Auto Bild's Finnish edition and Playboy in Slovenia and the Netherlands are examples of Sanoma Magazines' popular men's magazines. The Division also publishes several editions of Men's Health and Esquire.

Children's magazines

Sanoma Magazines' magazine portfolio also covers magazines for children. Both in the Netherlands and Finland the company publishes several Disney comics, like Aku Ankka (Donald Duck) and W.I.T.C.H. In the Netherlands, Donald Duck and other Disney titles are very popular amongst children.

Special interest magazines

Examples of the special interest magazines that Sanoma Magazines publishes are RTV guides in several countries, and also the well-known science magazine National Geographic. Sanoma Magazines publishes local editions of National Geographic in 8 countries. In some of these countries also spin-offs like National Geographic Kids and National Geographic Traveler are published.

Home and decoration magazines

Sanoma Magazines publishes a variety of home deco magazines. VT Wonen is one of the leading home deco titles in the Netherlands. The magazine has developed several brand extensions, like VT Wonen kitchens and VT Wonen paint. In Finland Sanoma Magazines publishes Glorian koti and Glorian antiikki, which are high-quality home decoration magazines.

Home decoration is an important magazine segment also in Central Eastern European countries: Sanoma Magazines publishes for example Otthon in Hungary and Villa Design in Romania.

Custom publishing

Sanoma Magazines publishes also customer magazines for third parties in many of its operating countries. Prime examples include Blue wings for Finnair in Finland, Energiek! in Belgium and Blue by Peugeot in the Netherlands.
