Sanoma Media Russia & CEE currently operates in nine markets: Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia and Ukraine.

In Hungary, Sanoma Media Budapest operates in a wide media field. Women's magazines, entertainment titles, business titles and TV magazines are the core of its magazine portfolio. It also publishes books and custom publications. The company is the leading magazine publisher in Hungary. Sanoma Media Budapest also has considerable digital business; it owns, for example, the leading consumer portal in Hungary, Startlap.hu, and operates TV channels Story4 and 5. In addition, the company's activities include conference and event organisation.

In the Czech Republic, Sanoma Media Praha s.r.o. publishes various consumer titles for different target audiences: women's magazines, home interest titles and a TV magazine. Vlasta is one of the country's largest women's magazine.

Adria Media Holding is a joint venture of Sanoma Media Russia & CEE and Gruner + Jahr. Sanoma Media Russia & CEE holds a share of 50%. Adria Media has subsidiaries in Croatia, Serbia and Slovenia.

In Croatia, Adria Media Zagreb proved itself a front-rank publisher, with a portfolio that includes magazines in various fields of interest, e.g. Sensa, Story, Lisa and international titles like Elle and National Geographic Magazine.

Adria Media Serbia's portfolio consists of 14 titles and special editions, both for women and men: e.g. Elle, the prestigious fashion and style trendsetter, Cosmopolitan, Men's Health and National Geographic.

Adria Media Ljubljana is Slovenia's 2nd largest magazine publishing house. The company publishes 12 magazines, among which titles like Cosmopolitan, Elle, Lisa and Men's Health. Adria Media Ljubljana is market leading in the car segment (Avto Magazine), men's glossies and in gossip magazines.

Sanoma Hearst Romania publishes consumer magazines for women and men, and also for young parents. In addition to the local titles, the portfolio includes, e.g. Cosmopolitan and FHM. The company also operates Romania's leading consumer internet portal, Startpage.ro. Sister company Sanoma Digital Romania manages the country's largest 'for sale by owner' real estate site Magazinuldecase.ro.

Sanoma Bliasak Bulgaria is the market leader in Bulgaria with magazines such as Cosmopolitan, Bliasak, National Geographic and Journal. Netinfo is Bulgaria's leading online publisher and part of Sanoma since 2008. The company develops and supports a wide range of digital media.

In Ukraine, Sanoma Media publishes e.g. Cosmopolitan, Men's Health and Prevention (women's lifestyle magazine).

Sanoma Independent Media is the market leader in glossy consumer magazines in Russia and publishes titles such as Cosmopolitan, Good Housekeeping, Yes, Men's Health and Popular Mechanics. In addition, Sanoma Independent Media publishes newspapers in English, such as The Moscow Times and The St. Petersburg Times, and a business newspaper, Vedomosti.

Management

Sanoma Media Russia & CEE is led by Heike Rosener. She is also become a member of the Executive Management Group of Sanoma.

Strategy

Sanoma Media Russia & CEE’s objective is to be or to become the number one media publisher in its chosen markets. Within this objective it seeks expansion into other European countries and optimization of opportunities and revenue through synergy and the development of media concepts.
