Board of Directors
The term of office of Sanoma's Board members is three years. The terms of office have been arranged so that about one-third of the members are elected annually.
Over half of the Board members (Annet Aris, Sirkka Hämäläinen-Lindfors, Seppo Kievari, Nancy McKinstry, Sakari Tamminen and Kai Öistämö) are non-executive directors independent of the company and its major shareholders, in the manner referred to in Helsinki Stock Exchange's Recommendation. Jane Erkko, Antti Herlin and Rafaela Seppälä are also non-executive directors independent of the company.
